Pyrography – Time to Celebrate!

Barn Owl (7 2022)

Greetings!   I would like to take a moment to wish you and your family a fantastic New Year!    I also want to thank you for a wonderful 2022!

I want to celebrate the passing of the year by celebrating you!   Most specifically I want to celebrate the your progress as a pyrography artist!   I know some of you don’t think of yourself as an artist, but you are.  Maybe it’s just a part time hobby, but you are still creating artwork and that makes you an artist!   You have worked hard to get where you are, so be proud of your work!

To celebrate I’d like to create a video featuring your artwork.   Send me a photo of the artwork you are most proud of that you did.   The barn owl is my favorite project I completed in 2022.

I would prefer that your artwork is something you created in 2022, but it doesn’t have to be.

     Send the photo to:  PyrographyContest@gmail.com

Send the photo by January 15, 2023

Include how you want your name to appear in the video!

Note that this is not a contest!  I seldom use the provided email, so it doesn’t get a lot of activity.  This makes it easy for me to keep things organized and not accidently deleted something.

After January 15, I will make a video on YouTube sharing everyone’s amazing work with the pyrography community.

Make sure you send a good photo that is in-focus and taken straight on.   This is an example of a good photo.

This is an example of a bad photo.

I have a short video that provides some tips for taking good photos of your artwork.  To watch the video click on the image to the left or click on this link:  https://youtube.com/shorts/VN0fSXVD4U4

I am really looking forward to to seeing your artwork!

  1. Thank you for providing opportunities and helping other pyrographic artists to rise up….happy new year 🙂

  2. I sent in my favorite art work last year, in fact I did that art work in December 2022. I was just wondering if you received it. Thanks again Brenda and God bless you and your family.

    1. I sent an acknowledgement to everyone who submitted artwork last year, and this year.
I did not keep the photos from last year, so I couldn’t tell you if yours was included.
Here’s a link to last year’s viewer art video: https://youtu.be/3ZuRxELgaik
You can look through to see if yours was included.

  3. Thank you for your offer but at the moment, I don’t have the equipment to post on YouTube. Learning pyrography has been a challenge in 2022 and appreciate your tutorials, feedback and encouragement throughout the learning process. Every blessing in the new year ahead. Patricia

    1. Hi Patricia,

All you need to do is send me a photo of your artwork that you are willing to share with my viewers on YouTube. I will create the video featuring everyone’s submitted photos.

  4. I would like to thank you for your generosity in teaching us online how to do this. I have purchased two of your books and have used them a lot. You are a great teacher, and a very great artist. Thank you, Brenda.

I love hearing from you, so leave a comment.
